Charlene sighed as she picked up the suitcase filled with the clothes she’d never used. Next time she’d know she didn’t have to worry about packing. Next time? Would there be a next time? No one had discussed how that would work. She wondered if she could just stay. She’d sign another agreement. She’d sign anything if only they’d let her stay. She took one last look around the room then opened the door to the hallway. She’d been told someone would escort her to the boat.

She hoped it was Mark and not Tom. Her scene with Tom had been intense. She’d been thrilled with the flogging he’d given her. He’d known just how to wield the flogger to cause her pain but to keep it within her ability to cope. He’d been harsh but oh so good. She’d also enjoyed the scene with Master Steve. Even though the woman had been wielding the crop, she’d had the right touch too and Charlene had thought it so erotic that Master Steven caused Julia to climax. She wished the scene had been longer but Master Steve’s intensity after they’d gone to another bedroom had more than made up for the shortness of the scene with Julia.

Charlene felt vaguely disloyal to Mark. She liked Mark’s control better but she was glad she’d experienced other Doms. It reassured her that she was by nature a sub. She could sub for anyone. She still had a lot to learn but she knew she glowed from her week here. It was much better than any spa.

Her heart soared when she looked up and saw Mark in the doorway. She fell to her knees and bowed her head. She only wished she were naked.

Mark walked over and placed his hand on her head. “There’s a lot we never had a chance to explore.”

“Please Master, let me stay and we can explore.”

“Not this time. Your week is done. Your contract finishes as soon as we reach the boat.”

“Please Master, this slave would like more.”

Mark laughed. “Oh yes. There is a lot more I’d like to do to you and I can, if you do something when you return to your old life.”

“What do I have to do?”

“Go back to the lawyer’s office and tell him you want to come back.”

“Really? I can really come back?”

“The next party is at Halloween. Come back for that party and I’ll be here.”

  “But…but that’s four months… How will I survive?”

Mark placed a finger under her chin and tilted it up. “You’ll survive because I tell you to. You may masturbate once a week…no more. I’ll ask you when you come back and if you’ve been a bad girl, I’ll punish you. Do you understand?”

Charlene smiled. “Yes Master. I understand.”

“I thought you might.” Mark helped her stand and grabbed her suitcase. He escorted her to the boat and just before she got in, he pulled her close and kissed her. The kiss deepened before he finally broke it. They stood close for a long moment. “Remember, visit the lawyer. Only masturbate once a week.”

“I’ll remember.” Charlene sighed. She climbed into the boat, already calculating how she’d get a longer vacation at Halloween. As the boat left the dock Charlene waved. She watched until she could no longer see Mark.

The next party would be at Halloween. Suzanne wasn’t sure how she’d wait that long. Of course she didn’t have to wait, Jeff would be happy to play. Suzanne enjoyed his company but it seemed as if something was missing. It had become too easy to dominate people like Jeff. She really missed the challenge Alex had presented. She shuddered as a twinge of regret arrowed through her. She’d never have Alex that way again. They had finished a long time ago, besides, he was too besotted with Julia even if he hadn’t admitted it yet. Suzanne didn’t think he’d ever grow tired of Julia. She was too independent, too much of a challenge. Suzanne wished she could play with Julia but Alex’s response to the dungeon scene had told her that Alex would never allow her more control over Julia. They could be friends though. It had been a long time since Suzanne had had a woman friend. She and Julia got along well so that would have to be enough.

Maybe she should try to tame Mark. He needed to know what his subs felt. He didn’t always give them enough consideration. He became lost in his own needs. A good Dom never lost sight of the sub’s needs. Perhaps she’d give him a taste of a real Dom since he’d seemed to have missed that lesson. Alex had brought in Mark and Suzanne had never asked about his background.

She sighed. She was bored. She wasn’t sure if she was bored with the lake or bored with her partners. If she was bored with the lake that would be a tragedy. She’d fought for so many years to have a private space and now that she had it was she really shallow enough to toss it away out of boredom? Maybe she just needed an exciting partner. She needed another Alex to challenge her and force her to the next level but she didn’t have anyone in sight who might be able to do that.

Yesterday Alex mentioned that he’d finally found Lucas and if everything went right, he was coming for Halloween. Suzanne had never met him. According to Alex, Lucas made Alex look like an amateur. Suzanne wasn’t sure how anyone could be more dominant than Alex could but she was looking forward to meeting the mysterious Lucas. Alex refused to say much about him. Suzanne knew they had started a business together, Lucas had suggested some rules and that Lucas had left just before the business made Alex very, very rich. She knew Lucas had been out of the country—traveling Alex had said, but not why or where. Unfortunately he was another dominant so Suzanne wouldn’t have much of a chance to play with him even if she did need a diversion.

She shook herself. She couldn’t image why she was so restless today. She’d done enough mental whining for the day. She’d go and play with Jeff since he was staying for another week. Maybe she could train him to be a little more assertive. If she couldn’t train him to meet her needs, then she shouldn’t be playing scenes with him. If he didn’t work out, Halloween was four months away. She’d find someone else to play with in that time and bring someone new to the lake. That was her plan. It was good to have a plan for all situations. She was responsible for her happiness, she just had to grab for it. No whining allowed. She smiled as she went to get Jeff.

Julia clutched her robe and stood at the window. She watched many people leave. Why were they all leaving? It was the height of summer and the best time to be at the lake. She’d just about decided to go downstairs to ask someone when she heard Alex enter the bedroom.

“Most of your contract has expired,” he said, holding out a piece of paper.

  “What’s this?”

“It’s the cabin contract. I took the liberty of rewriting it.”

“Rewriting how?” Julia grabbed the paper and started reading.

“I’ve agreed to help you survive the winter. In exchange you’ll give me first rights to buy the cabin if you ever decide to sell. We need to sign it in front of a witness.”

Julia felt a sense of relief wash through her. Surviving the winter with Alex’s help would be much easier that fighting him.

“The other part of the contract has expired. You’re free to leave.”

Julia hesitantly asked, “What does that mean?”

“It means you have a choice to make. You’ve proven you can respond to others. Thanks to Suzanne we know I can survive other men touching you. That will help take the pressure off me. Are you okay with that? I believe it’s what you need. We’ll work on your control. Hopefully one day you won’t need all the others, but in the meantime we’ll make it work. I can overcome my insane jealousy so your needs can be met.”

Julia swallowed hard. She wasn’t sure what to say so she asked, “Is that why everyone is leaving? Their contracts have expired?”

  “Not everyone, just the guests.”

“There’s room for a lot of people. What is the setup here?”

“I’m creating a very special place. A place where sexuality can be celebrated without offending people. Everything is consensual. When we’re not having parties the area is fairly quiet.”

  “How
often are the parties?”

“I tend to celebrate pagan holidays. Not because I necessarily believe in them but because they are convenient and many of the pagan holidays represent a deep connection to the earth. It felt right to be close to the earth. Besides, they segment the year and are often associated with cultural holidays.”

  “What was this holiday?”

“Midsummer, also called the summer solstice. This one isn’t celebrated much in Western culture but summer vacations work for it. The next holiday is Samhain, or Halloween if you prefer. I’m really hoping Lucas will be here by then.”

  “Who is Lucas?”

“He helped me plan the ideal place for us. Then he left just before I could bring it to fruition. It’s taken me years to find him again. I’m anxious for you to meet him even if I’m not sure I’ll share you with him.”

  “Why not?”

Alex smiled and moved closer. “Because you might like him better than me and that is not allowed.” He bent down and kissed Julia. “While I might share, you are mine and that brings me to my next question. Are you ready for another contract?” He placed a finger on her lip. “Before you answer, you need to know that this time I want a slightly different contract.” He hesitated.

  “What kind of contract?”

Alex walked over to a desk and pulled out a blank sheet of paper.

Julia frowned as she watched Alex write one brief paragraph. He handed the paper to her.

Her eyes widened. She read aloud, “I submit to Alex’s will. I trust him to keep me safe and happy.” She shook her head. “I’m not going to sign this. It’s like writing a blank check. You could do anything to me!”

“Isn’t that what trust means? That you know me well enough to know I won’t just do anything? That I will keep you safe and happy?”

The paper shook as Julia’s hand trembled. Did she trust him that much? Yes, answered her heart. Alex could handle her condition and he wouldn’t hurt her. She knew that but she couldn’t sign the paper as it was. She walked to the desk and added one more sentence before signing it. She turned to hand it to him and said, “This contract expires on Samhain. We can renegotiate it then.”

“I’ll look forward to that negotiation. In the meantime…” Alex took her into his arms. He pushed her robe off her shoulders and let it fall to the floor. He bent his head and captured her mouth. His kiss started gently before deepening into a soul-searing claim. His tongue plunged into her mouth. While she was lost in the kiss, he swung her onto the carpet. His hand moved to her breast, softly squeezing it on the way to pinching her nipple.

Julia squirmed, instantly aroused by Alex’s actions. “I need you now. Please Alex…” Her voice trailed off as he moved his hand to her pussy. Rubbing her clit as his fingers entered her dripping heat. She moaned.

He paused for a second before he said, “Come for me, Julia. Don’t wait. Come now!”

Julia’s orgasm swept through her body. She shuddered at the intensity of it and lost herself in the moment. Reveling in the pleasure Alex generated so easily.

As she floated back to reality, she felt safe and warm in Alex’s arms. She wasn’t worried about her blank contract with Alex. He would take care of her. She sighed. She couldn’t wait to find out what Alex had planned for the rest of the summer.
